There are two ways you can allocate learning to an individual; we will explore both here:

Allocating via learner account

  • From the admin dashboard, select Users
  • Find the user you want to add learning to and select this person. This will take you to their learner profile
  • Select Allocate Learning and a list of the courses you have available will appear on screen
  • Tick the courses you wish to add to the learner account and select Next
  • Here you can change the Allocation Start Date. Please note that if you add an Allocation Start Date that is a date in the future, the course will not appear on the learner account until that date. If you do not need add an allocation start date, the course will be added on immediately to their account.
  • Then you have the option to add a deadline date. You can either set an Absolute Deadline, which is a fixed date in the future that the learner needs to complete the course by or a Relative Deadline where you can set an amount of time that the course needs to be complete by. This can be done in increments of days, weeks or months.
  • If you add a deadline, you then have the option to set reminders to send to the learner to prompt them to complete their course if they have not already done so. Add your tailored message into the text box and select when you would like the reminder to be sent (this can be done minutes, hours, days or weeks before a deadline is due)
  • To send this deadline reminder as an email, select the 'Send as Email' tick-box. If you don't select this option, this message will appear as an in-LMS notification only.
  • Setting a deadline for a course means that if a learner doesn't complete the course in the designated time, the LMS admin will receive an email to notify them that this course is overdue.
  • Once you are happy with your options, select Confirm and the course will be added to their account.
