Once you have created and published a learning plan, you can allocate it to your learners. A learning plan allocation is a container for all the users you wish to be put onto the learning plan.

Creating a Learning Plan Allocation

  1. Select 'Allocations' and then 'Learning Plans' from the dropdown list.
  2. Select 'Add Allocation'.
  3. Enter a name for the allocation. This is pre-populated with the name of the learning plan and the current date as default.
  4. Enter a date for when you would like the allocation to start.
  5. Select a cycle option: Cycle Once, Cycle a Set Number of Iterations or Cycle Indefinitely.
  6. Select 'Create Allocation'.

Cycle Options

You can use the cycle options to automate any repeated learning plan. There are the following options:

  • Cycle Once: Any learners placed on the learning plan will run through it once and then it will stop.
  • Cycle a Set Number of Iterations: Set the number of times you wish the allocation to run, after which time the allocation will stop.
  • Cycle Indefinitely: The learning plan will keep cycling until the allocation is deleted.

If you have set the learning plan to cycle more than once, you can then set the cycle duration. This is the period of time before the learning plan will be allocated again to your learners. You can set the period in days, weeks, months or years.

If you want any allocations you add after the current start date, you can select the 'New Allocations start at next cycle' option.

Adding Users to Your Learning Plan

You can add either individual learners or groups to your learning plan.

  1. Select either 'Individuals' or 'Groups', depending on how you want to add learners to your Learning Plan.
  2. Select 'Add Users' or 'Add Groups'.
  3. Select from the available users or groups. You can use the search filter to help you find who/what you are looking for.
  4. Select 'Add' to add your users or groups of users to your learning plan allocation.
