Dashboard links are used to link to an external/internal web page that can either be opened in a new tab or the same window.
Creating a Dashboard Link
Select Add Dashboard Link.
Input the title of the link, the URL and an image (optional). You can select if you would like the link to open in a new tab or in the tab the user is when they select the link.
By Default the link will be shown to all users, if you want to restrict who is shown the dashboard link then you can select the Groups tab.
Select the Add Groups checkbox and choose the groups you want the Dashboard Link to be shown to and then press submit.
Adding an image to a dashboard link we recommend the size should be 768 by 432 1mb is the largest. An image of ratio 16:9 should work well for example 800x450, 768x432 or 640x360
This will now appear on a learners dashboard. Selecting the link will take them to the URL that you added.
Dashboard Links are ordered alphabetically by their title.
If a Dashboard Link is shown to all users then the Dashboard Link in the list has an 'All Users' tag.
If a Dashboard Link is shown to a single group then the Dashboard Link in the list will show a tag with the name of the Group.
If a Dashboard Link is show to multiple groups then the Dashboard Link in the list will show a tag with the number of groups.
There is the ability to filter the list by Group Name which will show the Dashboard Links that are shown to that Group.
